The continued improvements to Leeds United’s youth setup don’t seem to be stopping any time soon.
The Whites have again plucked another young starlet from Europe with a view to him being a potential first team star.
The player is question is Oliver Sarkic, who joins from Portuguese giants Benfica on a permanent basis.
Sarkic has been at the club since early September on an initial loan and it seems the club have decided they’ve seen enough to make his deal permanent.
The 20-year old joins the club on an initial deal until 2020 with the option of extending his deal by another year as he continues his progress in the development squad.
Sarkic celebrated his deal by netting in Leeds Development Squad’s 4-3 win over Hull City yesterday.
Can Sarkic become a great at Leeds? Should he be given a first team birth with all the latest striker woes? Have your say in the comments below.
