Earlier this evening came the news that many Leeds fans could not even comprehend only 12 months ago, we have our home back.
The acquisition of Elland Road is a very proud moment for our club. The building signifies so much more than 40,000 chairs and a piece of grass. To many fans it's there second home and for Leeds to get that back is phenomenal.
The move, which sees Greenfield Investment (Radrizzani's company who own Leeds) take sole ownership of Elland Road. A fee of around £20million is said to have been agreed, with the ground initially costing around £17million for the ground.
The purchase of Elland Road ends a near 13 year spell of the ground being under private ownership and saves Leeds £1.6million each year in rent alone.
It's clear to see that new owner Andrea Radrizzani has put a lot into this club over the past two months, including bringing back the Leeds United ladies and infrastructure improves within the ground.
Speaking to the Leeds United website, Radrizzani said; "Today is an important day in our history and a proud day for me and my team.
"When I met with both management and supporters during my first few months at the club, the purchase of Elland Road was very high on their list of priorities and I'm delighted to be able to announce that we have completed that process today."
In what looks to be the dawn of a new era at Leeds United, Radrizzani giving Elland Road back to Leeds United will be a historical moment.
The new owner has done for the club what no-one else could and we as fans should thank him in abundance for this massive show of support.
