Those with long memories will remember the 1970 FA Cup Final and a muddy Wembley stadium where one of the best finals unfolded. It ended 2-2 but it
was a game that would stay in the memory of those present for years. The day 'Magic' Eddie Gray weaved his mercurial way along the Wembley turf.
In those days penalty shootouts were not even thought of and a replay was staged at a little stadium in Manchester, where unfortunately Leeds were to end up on the end of a 2-1 defeat. So the trophy went to west London.
Forward forty two years and the club who are the Champions League winners are set to resume a
battle with one of their former foes. Money bags Roman seems to open his wallet as many times as his manager asks (ken take note) and the squad assembled goes into hundreds of millions with the likes of Mata, Torres and the latest being Eden Hazard.
Leeds, with two Premierships scalps already under their belts will be hoping that a full house will provide hopefully a '12th' man in their pursuit of a Semi Final place.
It certainly will be a match not to miss and I for one cannot wait to this tie, it looks a cracker.
