To boo or not

Yesterday at Elland Road the legends looked at each other in surprise, Billy looked at Don and both were in agreement that somebody had walked in who would split the fans on his appearance. I've never been one to question a signing but El Hadji Diouf will certainly be talked about around the message boards of our club.

Diouf certainly comes with a troubled past and even the manager has questioned his behaviour in the past but did we really need to boo him when he crossed the white line yesterday? We have had many players from a club in Manchester who although we weren't sure about we still gave them our support.

The players at Leeds now, apart from a few are new to the club and we need to show ALL that we support them in what will be a long hard season and I cannot see that turning on a player so soon will have a positive reaction in the dressing room.

We have given the boss  our full support in his dealings thus far in the transfer market so let's get behind all who wear the white shirt and give them the support they need. I cannot see that negatively sounding one player will help the others settle into our great club.

All I ask is give them ALL a chance to prove their worth in our teams colours.

Spot on. Despite Warnock's previous run ins with Diouf, he has seen fit to bring him to the club... Because at the moment he can do a job for us. We should back whoever wears our shirt and make ER a fortress... MOT!

I totally agree guys.. Last year some of our own players were affraid to play at ER, we need to make it a scary place for the opposition and that means backing every player wearing a Leeds United shirt.

Where else would you get a player of his calibre for £2K a week? A fortune for most of us bit a pittance for a footballer.

I never really liked Diouf. Not always just because of his behaviour on & off the pitch but also because he was the player who could win you games. He's a dangerous & exciting player. I WILL back him 100%. If he helps us gain promotion, I'm sure that's all that matters. It's what us as Leeds fans want & what we deserve.

I don't think there are too many football fans who like the guy Neil warnock is no different and yet the gaffer knows he can do a job. With no money available to NW wot else can he do. The guy has qualities that are plenty good enough for the championship. We all support Neil's judgement so far let's support him on this bit of business wot have we to loose. Diouf may prove us all wrong and Neil was right to sign him. Can't wait for the season to start MOT

Warnock knows what he is doing. Get behind the team this year. Stop the pointless booing and chants - WHATS THE POINT! Support LUFC and we will go up. If all you want to do is chant about Bates, stay home - Without Bates we might be like Rangers today. Leeds United 2012/13 Championship Winners!

I was there yesterday and was obviously surprised to say the least when Diouf's name was mentioned with a mixed reception in the centenary bar! I was even more surprised when he was on the bench - and when he came on!
I remember the reception when Donnie were here last season - but speaking to Donnie fans they say that he was excellent in the dressing room, played well on the pitch - made and scored goals ... HE DID THE JOB.

WE NEED HIM to do a job for us, whatever his history. Neil thinks (with no money to spend) he'll do us a job and help to get us promotion this season.

With 5 DAYS TOGETHER that TEAM yesterday, gelled, settled, and started playing some good football like we never saw last season.

They want to win - IT'S OUR JOB IS TO SUPPORT THEM not boo them - so COME ON LEEDS - MOT

There was boos but some people were shouting Diouuuuuuuuuuuuffff. I'm interrested to see how he does. Big personnality, but if he converts that into good football let's give the guy a chance.
