By Keith InghamWhen a Transfer window closes with not much 'action' for your club, attention can be sometimes taken to the young players in and around the squad. The management at the club have great faith in the abilities of Neil Redfearn and Richard Naylor, the development games give players the chance to impress Brian McDermott and so far this season Alex Mowatt has shown enough in these games and his first competitive games versus Doncaster that he could follow the steps of
Sam Byram and become the latest player to shine from the Elland Road academy. Dominic Poloen returned from loan spells at other clubs and has already shown in patches he has a goal and skill in his locker and if I may be so brave looks good enough to occupy a wide role, all he needs is to look up when in control of the ball. Players can change their positions if they are trained to do so. It's that simple. We already know Chris Dawson from his appearance last season, slight in build and height but is well thought of by people in the game. Ross Killock played in a couple of pre- season games and another that the club has high hopes for, a steady defender so I've heard. Simon Lenighan, although only involved as a substitute has the build to challenge for a first team shirt. Alex Cairns is a decent keeper although his chances may be limited as Ashdown is at the moment the back up to Paddy Kenny. I'm not at all saying there's enough (and I'm sure I have missed a couple) to make us contenders right now but if one or two make it then as a club we would save a few quid in trying to recruit, when there is seemingly not a lot to spend. I wish these lads all the best. On On On

Having been to the Sheffield and QPR games this season and watched Leeds i am hopeful; that we can nurture two or three young players through into the first team.

Leeds GFH Capitol are finding it hard to buy the extra bit of class we need to turn draws and defeats into wins by buyin a striker and a wide man. With all this in mind what the hell are Leeds doing not picking Ryan Hall especially with his impressive number of assists for goals ratio.Let me see if anyone from Leeds United is brave enough to answer this post
