With a stellar display against Newport County Leeds seemed to have found a new striker and he was right underneath their noses. Kemar Roofe showed exactly what he can do if given the opportunity to lead the line bagging a hat trick in a second half come back for Leeds in which they truly showed their goal scoring prowess. With the news Leeds have found a new striker, news has also come out at the fact that Souleymane Doukara has departed the club on a free transfer to Turkish side Osmanlispor. The striker/winger/fans favourite for some reason has not had a look in this season and it seemed that The Duke would be cutting his time short at Elland Road three years after joining the Whites. Leeds now look ahead to Saturday's game at Nottingham Forest and with the club set to sign 19-year old forward Jay Roy Grot from NEC Thomas Christiansen will be assessing whether to give Roofe a second bite of the apple of try the debutant straight from the off. Roofe showed a lot of promise in Tuesdays match, finding space between defenders and giving Leeds a different style of striker; one that could benefit from the quick and swift attacking play of players like Samu Saiz and Ezgjan Alioski.
With Nottingham Forest being a strong defensive outfit with tall defenders like Matt Mills, Jack Hobbs and Michael Mancienne Leeds will need to find space in-between the lines if they are to succeed at the County ground. Roofe has shown he's capable at doing that and Leeds have ample cover on the wings, meaning the smart option is to give the former Oxford man a chance to do the business once again for Leeds. What's your opinion? Would you like to see Roofe given another chance up front or is their a better option? Have your say in the comments below. By Ryan Ingham

Looking at the depth of Leeds squad for this season, we are going to be hard to beat, as Christ has covered every angle of injury and suspension. I still say without Pontus Jansson in the team, we still look culpable at the back, but must admit Cooper has grown wings this season, while Anita has fitted in well at full back with injuries curtailing this position. Watching Saiz and Alioski bring back memories of Gray and Lorrimer. Personally having covered Leeds for 40 years, I think this is the best squad to take us up. The Christ has done his homework and has Radrizzani said .... "he was the only applicant to bring a laptop to the meetings and had a spreadsheet and graphs ready to show the future prospects of the club". That sold Radrizzani.
