Preseason has started fairly well with smiles on the players faces and the 'feel good' factor is quite pleasant. The new signings all seemed to have gelled well to their new team mates and it all bodes well for the start of the 2016/17 season.
A look at the lineups in the early games doesn't give much away as Garry Monk has given the entire squad, apart from injured Gaetano Berardi, Liam Cooper and returning Northern Ireland international Stuart Dallas the chance to impress the new Head Coach of Leeds.
A few of the new recruits have lit up social media with their efforts, Roofe looks a lively forward, as does Sacko and in Andorsson we look to have a finisher, although the opponents weren't the strongest. Matt Grimes looks useful too, albeit we have lost the most gifted player I've seen to come out of the Academy to Bournemouth.
Lewis Cook's sale to the South Coast was another example of a lack of ambition by the hierarchy to keep a developing talent within the confines of Elland Road.
I do wish him well in the next stage of his career, but surely this must stop at some stage.
I'm impressed by the Head Coach and his assistant, they come across very well and have won over most fans immediately with their comments. They speak highly of the supporters and I think they get what it means to be 'Leeds'.
