By Keith Ingham![]() After a late goal made the draw at Wolverhampton feel like a defeat, the Warnock road show rolls north to visit the team affectionately known as the 'Smoggies' or 'Boro' by fans as old as me. It's been a very frustrating last couple of weeks, with Cardiff picking Sam Byram's pocket, then a certain Mr Kenny trying to be 'cocky' and costing the team their win bonus, it might seem unfair but trying to be 'flash' with time nearly up isn't the most sensible thing to do. The clamour for Jamie Ashdown to add a Championship appearance to his cup ties will no doubt follow Kenny's folly. I remember 'Boro' from when I started following Leeds, their fans mostly 18 stone and usually up for a bit of a fight, they usually got one. They had players like Murdoch from Celtic, a no nonsense centre forward who gave as good as he got. I digress, sorry these games bring back good memories of the European Cup team and better days for Leeds United. We sit just below the play- offs within five points and a win against our opponents could really push us on through the remaining games, a defeat and I'm afraid the best thing I can look forward to is the end of season 'piss up' usually done on the last game of the season. To me the horrendous away record we have has contributed much to our current position. A mid table team is not what thousands of fans want in a City the size of Leeds. In the last few matches Mr Warnock continues to 'rotate' the squad and after a year he still does not know his first XI, which by any stretch of the imagination is quite strange. One thing for sure is that the next few matches will have a direct influence on the managers position and our season, and maybe sooner than later Mr Warnock will be able to snuggle up to Mrs Warnock on a Saturday evening as he misses it so much. My team for Middlesborough would be: Ashdown Byram Lees Peltier Warnock Green Norris Tonge Varney McCormack Morison On On On
