By Keith InghamIn an incredible game at Elland Road on Saturday, Leeds came from 2-0 down to lead 3-2 with ten minutes remaining only to be denied the victory by a cheeky back flick to equalise.
Leeds started with the same eleven as they did at Peterborough with El Hadji Diouf fresh from signing a contract until January but it was Blackburn who scored first through Olsson and in a copy move of the first goal Gomes made it 2-0. Leeds though took the game to the visitors and before the break Diouf reduced the arrears with a cool finish and soon after brought a brilliant one handed save from ex Leeds keeper Paul Robinson. Leeds dominated the second half and were soon level with a fantastic strike from Ross McCormack. Leeds went for the winner and after misses by Austin and Becchio the latter scored a great header to keep the Argentine's great start to the season going, he really is on fire. Jason Pearce had the ball in the net but it was disallowed for a push. With the clock ticking down Blackburn brought on Rochina and within minutes his back heel found the back of the net passed an unsighted Paddy Kenny. Diouf should have won it in injury time but hit it over. A special mention to Paul Robinson who gave the 'Leeds' salute at the end of the game, he's still Leeds ! Man of the Match El Hadji Diouf - never stopped running and I'll forgive him for missing the late chance for his earlier efforts. Moan of the Match The referee was terrible and missed a blatant pen and Pearce's goal should have stood Fans 8/10
