By Keith Ingham![]() On the day when news broke of our leading goalscorer and the 10th highest in the clubs history Luciano Becchio has asked to leave, it made me think that somebody somewhere must stand up and be counted...Even if it does not much good it has to be done. So I'm doing it. When the new owners came on board the relief that Bates had been replaced was tinged with the thought that would the new owners deliver all or some of the promises. By the lack of movement from the club in this transfer window they seem unwilling to give Warnock a large amount of money and he'll have to either sell to buy or wait until the loan window is open. The lack of information from GFH is incredible, it beggars belief that after spending a small fortune on the club they should not invest on the playing side, like they assured the fans they would in this window. Really it's a farce and I'm betting it's raised a few smiles from our former owner who still remains as chairman of the club. Maybe this is why our best players are sold on as soon as somebody is interested in them. Becchio has been a loyal servant if not a well paid one and at his age maybe this is his chance to try and prove himself at a higher level, but after a few negative comments from the manager his decision didn't come as a surprise to me. Comments by the returning Swansea player Tate about 'problems with finances' at Leeds has put more doubt into the fans minds. I'm asking GFH to be honest, if we're in the shit at least be honest because as my article is titled this really must end! On On On

I am so cheesed off with driving 6 hours to every home game and watching utter garbage. Our performances this season have been utter rubbish. GFH really need to to get some quality players into our squad because this team that we love is simply not good enough. What really worries me is the fact that we have been out of the premier league for nearly 10 years and we have lost a full generation of youngsters who now support other clubs. So come on GFH get some decent players in and the gates will increase , the atmosphere around Elland Road will improve and finally we may get back to where this club should be.

Cumbrian White I have raised two young men to support Leeds and we were there when we had to queue to pay cash to get into Elland Road. We live a long way from Leeds and my two boys had to suffer a lot of taunts at school and now I wonder was it all worth it? I even got my nephews to turn away from Manure and support Leeds! They are still upbeat but I have had enough!

I admit to being one of the gloom merchants but I really don't see very much to be excited about. If this is the best that GHF can do, then I wish they had not bothered. Why did Bates sell to them if they can't finance the club and start to rebuild? The only thing that makes sense to me is that the club has large liabilities due to the construction costs and associated companies. With these commitmets GFH cannot afford to buy success. They are too busy servicing the debts. On top of that there is declining attendance and the lost generation of fans as others have pointed out. GHF therefore want promotion on a shoe string! They may will be happy to sit in the Championship for the next two to three years until some of the liabilities have been reducted. Their plans should have been to pay off the liabilites and invest in the squad. They perhaps do not have the money to do either or both at the same time. Stuffed by Bates's deals from the past and his philosophy on wages etc.
