Well wasn't that a great start to the new season. I worried about the Wolves game as a starter due to the fact that we still have 95% of our squad bedding themselves in, so I am delighted with that narrow win.

My two real gripes were the fact that we sat far too deep in that second half and invited them onto us, a point I'm sure Neil will address, also nearly every ball we put into their box went straight down the throat of a huge keeper.

Now to the positives. We looked very secure at the back unlike last season when our defence was to say the least porous. Big Pearce looks the part and certainly in Sam Byram, Neil seems to have unearthed a gem. Added to the beast looking so solid in the centre of midfield and El Hadji showing all his experience throughout his 55 mins or so I am starting to look quite positively at the season ahead.

At Elland Road last year we were, to be diplomatic, bloody awful so I find huge positives from today's game. As I have said before Neil has got the promotion t- shirt and we, as far as I am concerned, have got the right man in place for the job ahead. It was great to see him even smile and look relaxed in the heat of battle and while not wanting to get carried away by one game it's great to actually have a good feeling after watching my beloved whites.

Now to our illustrious chairman, old Ebenezer has told us once again that our comments our deterring possible investors. Well I have news for him what is really deterring our would be buyers is the fact that he has kept moving the goalposts and chopping and changing all for self gain and greed. Soon hopefully he will do the decent thing and move himself out of Elland Road and leave the club in the hands of those who actually love and support the club.

In closing lets pick up on a positive start and get right behind our team. MOT

Thought overall we were fantastic. Some great performances from Peltier, Pearce, Austin and McCormack.. Although Varney and White need to improve. Things should only get better though as the team play more together MOT
