By Keith InghamIt's the day after the 6-1 demolition of our once great club, I'm still in shock at the recent failings of players I feel are just not up to playing for Leeds United. I hear you say 'it was against 9 men' but was the 7-3 v Forrest and the capitulation v Preston the year before ?
It takes a certain type of player to handle the pressure of wearing the White shirt and doing it with a certain amount of Pride. It's more than a piece of fabric with an emblem on, it has a massive amount of history behind it, which maybe the current owners of it don't understand or really give a toss about. Modern day players do not seem to have the feeling a player had from back on the day. We can't be sucked into feeling the current problems are just because of a few men sitting around a table arguing about money, that would be fool hardy even though nearly six months of it hasn't helped the situation at Leeds. I suppose I'm asking the players to look in the mirror or even read a book about the club to try and understand the reasons why I'm writing this. I'm sure if they see what the club achieved and the players who've worn the shirt with such pride, they might just think the next time they slip it over their heads it means something major to be part of our club, our LEEDS. When are Leeds fans going to realise to the rest of the country, they are a second rate run of the mill football club, delusional beyond all belief, considering Leeds is the biggest one club city in England, their support is pathetic, how can you call yourself a big club with crowds of less than twenty thousand,

Keith, have you ever thought that the reason you have rubbish players and get hammered regularly is that you are actually not very good, just because you had a decent team almost fifty years ago doesn't mean you should have a good team now, you are no different to clubs like Preston, Blackpool and wolves, you are getting the football team you're rugby supporting town deserves, move on and stop spouting rubbish

I support Middlesbrough and I am fully aware that Leeds are a far bigger club with a much bigger catchment area, we do not big ourselves up or pretend to be a bigger club than we actually are, every supporter in the land demands their players to show pride and passion when wearing their shirt, what makes Leeds different

I've always been a fan of Neil Warnock, even well before he took the job at at Elland Road. However of late I feel he's lost the plot. His tactics, team selection & general decisions sometimes beggar belief. Yesterday was his worst 'display' as manager of our once great club by a country mile. It was embarrassing! Im sorry Neil but not for the first time you got it badly wrong & using Austin's horror injury to deflect criticism won't wash with me. I felt sorry for the fans & players. We were all let down by a manager who must have left his brain at home.

It werent that long ago Ray that Middlesbrough were pulling crowds of less than 20000 while in the Premier League, we Leeds United were pulling 20000 plus crowds in league 1.Like your team you walk away and stay away when your losing .Us Leeds fans are being put off going by the current chairman and his inflated prices its got nowt to do with how the teams playing. We love our club with a passion that you will never understand . We are Leeds United, the sleeping giant, known worldwide with a global fanbase , Who are you to spout off about us,without your sugar daddy Gibson you would be nowhere, you wouldnt even have a ground. How passionate were you then when they locked your gates and shut you all out. MOT.

Jog on Toby. Embarrassment? Without Leeds history, the track record for Yorkshire would be a little pathetic. We have a rugby league team that probably get bigger gates than your shower. Fight the hate and move on.

Danny yorkie, you are a classic example of a deluded Leeds fan, our north east neighbours Newcastle regularly get fifty thousand crowds yet you never hear them bang on about how big a club they are, support our club with a passion you will never understand?, you are no different a football club to anybody else, sleeping giant, more like comatose giant, newcastle and Sunderland are way bigger clubs than Leeds, your fans deluded attitudes are the reasons why leeds are disliked

Boro fans are too being put off going to the matches by inflated prices, I believe we are the third most expensive in the championship, our last home match we reduced the prices and we got over 28 thousand fans, not bad for a small club and for a live tv game, my argument is not that Boro are a big club because we know we arent, my argument is that there are only Leeds fans in the country who think leedsvare a big club

Ray, I think personal hatred and disdain of LUFC is clearly visible in your post. Get real man. I know plenty of Geordies who tell me all the time how massive they are because they get 50k for homes games. Sunderland? Laughable. They never used to fill Roker Park and are z classic example of fickle...when in the championship they'd get 20k and jump up to 35k in the prem. Leeds currently have probably there worst team ever right now and we're mid table in this league....not a big club. We get 19k for a home game and everyone wades in. Why? Because people love to knock the big boys. How can you say Leeds, with 5 euro finals to date and many top 5 finishes, well in the top ten in England, aren't a big club? Newcastle, win nowt since 1969. Sunderland, take 1973 out of hand equation and its pretty limp and neither have any European pedigree. Stopbeing bitter

Only Leeds fans who think Leeds are a big club. Mmmmm, everyone I meet in the UK work wise generally say the opposite. Rival managers say it, including just this week with Zola and all the commentators when we're on live...again.

Clearly clueless Jamie, take 1973 out of the equation and what have you got?mmmmm, what about 6 times in their history English league champions, three times more than deluded Leeds, before revie turned up, Leeds were a pub team, Sunderland have got way more history than Leeds, if Leeds are such a big club why are there regularly 20 thousand empty seats! Not a big club Jamie, stop living in the 70s

Before Revie turned up Leeds were a pub team? A pub team who spent most of their years in the top flight. Sunderland won the league when the Royal Engineers were kicking about and Nelson FC were half decent. You forgot a certain John Charles, without doubt one of the best british players of all time who wore the shirt in the 50's. Sunderland have very little to crow about. Nerver done well in the permier league (by the way, we still sit 12th in the all time premier league table and we've been out for 8 years)...you are jsut bitter son, you really are. 20 thousand empty seats? It's a big ground and when the crowds are down, which they are at the moment, it can look very empty...but the ticketing policy is a joke and no one wants to give Bates their money...so, when he goes, you'll see a difference.

Tobias dear, still involved with the Garden Gang? Check again, it was 65-75 which included 5 Europeasn finals. See the reply above to Ray, how Leeds, despite not being in the PL for 8 years still sit 12th in the all time table..why? Because nearly every year they were top 5, challenging...Funny. Wilko had good years too...So did GG and O'Leary actually.

Welcome back Ray. I should call you Ray Charles because you just don't see it do you? Villa & Forest - yes. Well done to them. That's Villa's only final and again, aside from that 2 year period that's it..Forest, done very well but not a big club. If I were you I'd stick to a smoggies site or a north east football site where you can allow compare your striking success in Europe.

Raymondo! Welcome back. I think the smog is getting to you I'm afraid....UEFA Cup. Well, nowadays, it's known as the Europa League which has greatly devalued the competition...however, for decades, the UEFA Cup was wonderful competition that every BIG club wanted to win....the European Cup, before it was made into a farce, was a simple knockout comp with about 4-5 rounds home and away....the TOP team played in it...the UEFA Cup was seen as massive, the 2nd and 3rd placed teams played in it every year.....so always top, top sides who were quite often top of their league at the time...so really, again your bitterness has got the better of you...it wasn't until the late 90's that it started to lose it's panache.....now it's 2nd rate to the joke that is the CL.......but for 30 years it was a top trophy and one that was ever so hard to win.....a little like the top 4 now....TOP teams played on it.....something you'll never do...hence 3 final appearances...want to try again? Empty seats? Oh yes. Lately there has been a lot....but we all know it' s not the norm......must make you sick having half of North Yorkshire supporting LUFC? Please drift off to www.smoganddole.com and leave us alone here.

History lesson on european club competition not necessary Jamie, Been watching football for 4 decades and whilst the uefa cup was largely regarded as the hardest competition to win the champions cup has always been regarded as the holy grail and the one that real big clubs have won, people from the people's republic of Teesside support the Boro fella, got no interest in Yorkshire, not our region

Ray, we nearly agree on something, making progress. Indeed it was very hard to win and still is but for the wrong reasons (500 games to the final). I'm glad you're Teeside now and not North Yorkshire, keeps the smog from the National Park ;)

You should be on the stage Jamie, i have never laughed so much in all my life, comparing Leeds to Ajax, Roma and benfica, you are in the same tier as blackpool, Preston and stoke, let me know when that massive club you support gets a crowd of over 28 thousand for a league game this year like the mighty smoggies!, the last time we were in the championship we got promoted and got to a cup final with an average gate of over 32 thousand, farewell my deluded one, spent way too long on your site

Adios Ray! Same level as Blackpool & Preston? You know the english game? Jesus, that smog is getting to your lungs. Boro get 28k for a home game and all of a sudden you're a world super power? We were getting 30-35k in league one - don't you see it? It's a Bates revolt...anyway, it'll be history soon when Bates f*** off. Good shout not coming on again, impossible talking to a bitter smoggie who's spent it's entire history wedged between the Toon and LUFC.
