A poignant moment of remembrance of a brave young boy.
Norwich City climbed above Leeds in the Championship thanks to a resounding 3-1 win at Elland Road. The East Anglian’s out fought the home side and deservedly took home the three points.
The Game was in it's infancy when Norwich went in front, Jansson gave away a free kick that was despatched by Vrancic past Casilla by via a deflection. Leeds had started on the front foot and the goal was a surprise to the packed house.
Vrancic gives Norwich City the lead.
Leeds had their efforts on goal but not many troubled Krul in the Norwich goal, the same player was very lucky to stay on the field when he ‘Schumachered’ Tyler Roberts when the Leeds striker burst through on goal, from the free kick Hernandez hit the wall and the rebound was blasted over the bar by Klich.
Leeds tried to get back into the game but were hit again when Puki netted when once again the Leeds defence was found wanting and stood still waiting for an offside that didn’t come.
The start of the second half brought changes, Jack Clarke and Barry Douglas coming on for Pablo Hernandez and Jack Harrison. As in the first half Norwich denied Leeds to play their possession football as Leeds struggled to get past their defence. Norwich made it three when once again the home side gifted them possession and it ended up with Vrancic volleyed past Casilla.
Down but not out. Defeat hurts.
Pretty much game over but at least Leeds kept going and were rewarded by a goal by substitute Patrick Bamford in injury time, the same player was involved in a altercation with Krul who clearly appeared to head butt the Leeds striker after the final whistle. I wonder if anything will be done by the EFL in the form of retrospective punishment, I for one doubt that they will.
Another poor display when it needed a much better one from the team in white. Credit to Norwich who played really well in all departments, Farke got his tactics spot on.
