On Thursday Leeds will unveil their new home shirt for the forthcoming 2016/17. Here is what it's said to look like...
It's been a while since the home shirt has been all white and with a collar. The only colour on it is the club badge and the blue of the sponsors Kappa and the new shirt sponsor 32 'offset orange'.
It was disclosed on Twitter by various people this lunchtime and on the whole it was greeted very positively.
I still love my 1976 yellow away shirt which Admiral supplied that had a button up collar. I cannot remember off the top of my head that we've ever had a home shirt with such a collar, but feel free to tweet your best lookalikes to @weallloveleedsu
These are testing times for people's pockets, but the response to the away shirt that was released earlier in the month has been very encouraging and sales have been good.
Hopefully, this will boost the money allowed for Garry Monk to spend on recruiting. A lot of players have departed and without doubt we need additions to complete the jigsaw in what is a very thin squad.
Does it matter what the team wear? Not really. But it's a given thing that these days teams change their strips yearly and if they look smart it's always a bonus.
I will be buying one, probably the new home shirt at the event organised by the club on Thursday and I think the four kits that Kappa have designed so far have been far better than the atrocities Macron produced.
Well done Kappa, keep it up!
