By Andy GregoryToday saw us travelling down to Leicester hoping to build on our start to the season. With our away form being so poor last term, today we would get to see if there was an improved showing on our travels. Here's how the players performed:
Paddy Kenny - Had a great game and dealt with everything that came his way, a very solid performance. 7 Lee Peltier - Looked better than in recent games, maybe not having the captaincy helped him out a little. Still needs to get the ball forward more when he gets the opportunity instead of constantly passing back. 6 Tom Lees/ Jason Pearce - Were both very solid at the back today and looked a good partnership, breaking down opposition attacks well. 7 Stephen Warnock - Played really well and put in some important challenges, his experience is really important at the back. 7 Rodolph Austin - Excellent performance from our new captain, he was composed, protected the defence well and controlled the midfield. Absolutely faultless today. Easily Man of the Match. 9 Paul Green - Worked hard and had more opportunities to get forward today with Rudy playing alongside him. He had a steady game. 7 Luke Murphy - Had a reasonably quiet game today, but what he did he did well. Tried to get his foot in and get the ball forward. 7 Ross McCormack - Had a quiet game by his standards, but worked hard in his role behind the front two. I would like to see him in his preferred position as an out and out striker though, he's a natural goal scorer, if we give him a chance up there he'll put them away. 7 Luke Varney - Was hard working and never stopped pressing and running, causing the defence a few problems in the process. 7 Noel Hunt - Struggled to get into the game and had a pretty uneventful day before being replaced just past the hour. 6 Dom Poleon - Came on for Hunt and immediately added a new dimension to our attack causing Leicester problems. He's going to be a big player for us this year, wonder when he'll get a league start. 7 Matt Smith - Replaced a tiring Varney and was unlucky not to score with a headed effort following a ball into the box from Poleon. 6 Michael Tonge - Didn't really have the time to make a mark on the game. Well all in all not a bad day for Leeds, a hard earned point from Leicester making it 4 points in our first 2 league games. Not a bad start to say we've played two of the better teams in the league. Next up: Leeds v Sheffield Wednesday when the vile animals aim to make it back to back wins at home in the Sky Bet Championship. Bring em on. MOT!

Fair ratings and I agree that Austin was Star Man and Pearce seems to be growing in confidence game on game. Feel sooner or later Poloen will get his chance instead of Hunt

Peltier your best choice defender? He constantly tracked back, never stopped one cross and was out of position 80% of the time, and was all of the above all of last season, he is useless. He's no where near good enough for the Leeds team, I think we have a secret town fan here.

The scores are a bit high all round but I'm pleased that we went to a long standing bogey team kept a clean sheet and I'll settle for a draw today , we are heading in the right direction MOT
