By Russ Vernon![]() Team News: New Leeds United manager Brian McDermott is sweating on the fitness of a number of players ahead of his first game in charge against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday. Lee Peltier, Steve Morison, David Norris and Chris Dawson are all carrying knocks. Tom Lees and Michael Brown will both miss the game for Leeds through suspension. With Peltier a doubt and Lees suspended, Rodolph Austin could be a make shift centre back. Striker Davide Somma is closing in on a return after returning to training recently. Leigh Bromby remains the only long-term absentee. Sheffield Wednesday are sweating on the fitness of trio Reda Johnson, Jermaine Johnson and Giles Coke. Manager Dave Jones is hoping that all three will be available for the game after picking up knocks last weekend. Danny Pugh is ineligible for the game. Pugh is on loan at Hillsborough from Leeds and cannot play against his parent club. Striker Gary Madine is also struggling with injury and could once again miss out. When Brian McD gets us promoted I hope he is not treated as shabbily as Reading treat him . Play offs , champions , Manager of Month in January sacked in march . Give him a chance to get it right. Reading will be coming down and I bet their fans wish they still had McD to take them back up for another go . Stick with him . I read that Man city have spent £527 million since 2007 . We should not expect too much straight away when we do get back .
