The year of 2014 ended as it began with a defeat. The 'toothless' 2-0 at Derby County, the defeat was a stark reminder that this was a year to forget for most supporters.

Although the Third round of the FA Cup brought a defeat at Sunderland, a much better second half brought some optimism to the travelling fans. Here Liam Cooper is so unlucky his late header hit a post and bounced away.

Rudy Austin's early goal at Bolton was not enough to claim the three points but the display and performances by Cook, Morison and Murphy impressed me.

'Re-born' Luke Murphy's late leveller against Birmingham City was just reward for a hard ninety minutes. The ex Crewe Alexander midfielder had been omitted since his sending off at Bradford City but was starting to be a key performer.

A minutes applause was done in tribute to Leslie Silver, who recently passed away. The former Chairman was the one who signed on Howard Wilkinson and was part of that triumphant period of the club's history. A fitting tribute to a great Chairman.

Luke Murphy's brilliant goal gave Leeds the three points against table toppers Bournemouth. It gave them the 'double' over Eddie Howe's team. The performance was a massive step in the right direction.

After coming on as a very late substitute, Billy Sharp scored the winner in the West Yorkshire derby with Huddersfield Town. The 2-1 win made it the first time since the 1930's Leeds had done the 'double' over their local rivals. Below how he celebrated with the ecstatic fans.

The first league defeat of 2015 left a bitter taste in the mouth, above Rudy Austin is brought down in the penalty area but the abysmal referee Graham Salisbury denied a clear penalty. He later allowed a debatable hand ball in the build up to Brentford's match winner.

After the defeat to Brentford many, myself included didn't expect to beat a inform Reading side but Luke Murphy pictured above and Sam Byram below gave Leeds a surprising if very welcome 2-0 win.
