Leeds United look set to out their money where their mouth is as they are joined in the race to sign Bolton hotshot Josh Vela.
The young midfielder, who can also play very convincingly at both full back positions is said to be a main target for the Whites as they look to improve their squad in January.
However, they are not the only club interested in Vela’s signature, with Premier League side Brighton also currently keeping tabs on the youngster.
The 23-year old has been a mainstay in Bolton’s midfield for the past three years having made an early impression at a young age and has made more than 114 appearances for the Trotters.
Now with Bolton struggling, it could be the perfect time for Vela to jump ship and join a Leeds team where he could really improve.
Vela could join fellow young midfield prospects in Ronaldo Vieira and Kalvin Phillips and star in a Leeds side that is already under observation for its many talented players.
With a reported £700k price tag to alleviate some much needed financial income for the Trotters and only 18 months left on his deal, is this the signing that could turn Leeds into real playoff hopefuls?
