Latest rumours suggest that Leeds United could be set to make a move for former Brighton stopper David Stockdale.
This is not the first time the club have courted the stopper, with a move for Stockdale unravelling at the last second last summer. Stockdale chose a move to Birmingham and has been a mainstay in goal for the Championship strugglers. However, the 32-year old has now been informed he is free to leave the club this summer by former Whites manager Garry Monk. It is believed that the current wages north of £13k a week could be the reason why Birmingham are said to move him on. The question remains, if Stockdale is to join; will he be the number 1? In most fans opinion, probably not. A brilliant keeper with bags of experience, Stockdale would be a great signing for most Championship clubs, but with the emergence of Bailey Peacock-Farrell, is he really needed? The 21-year old has been a revelation since replacing Felix Wiedwald between the sticks and it would be a shock should he once again lose his place in the squad. Would you like to see Stockdale join or are you happy with BPF between the sticks? Have your say in the comments below. By Ryan Ingham
