Lucas Nmecha looks set to join Leeds United, according to sources close to the club.
The young forward is set to join the Whites on a season long loan deal from parent club Manchester City. Leeds are looking to bolster their attacking line, with a long season ahead of a very small squad and Nmecha fits the bill as a temporary fix to the solution. This will be the forwards first loan spell away from Manchester City, having featured heavily in the clubs youth setup along with representing England from Under 16 level all the way to the Under 21’s. The 19-year old is known for his blistering pace and versatility, being able to not only play as a striker but also occupy either wing. Nmecha will now follow in the footsteps of current loanee Jack Harrison, who has joined from Manchester City also. With Leeds investing heavily in the signing of Patrick Bamford, a loanee to sure up the forwards seems to make business sense. With owner Andrea Radrizzani staying on Friday that the club will look to balance their books when making moves for players. Can Nmecha be a star in the making at Leeds and take his opportunity to shine in a very attaching Leeds side? Only time will tell. By Ryan Ingham
