Ken Bates on Thursday the 5th March challenged fans to "put up, or shut up". A phrase We all know is in his diction. Here are a few statements from the Leeds Fans LLP in regards to what we know:
"The Leeds fans LLP has not been in contact with Ken Bates or any of his staff and have no associations with the former Chairman. Last night was the first time that Ken Bates has referenced the fans movement and the Leeds fans LLP plans to move forward with following up on his comments regarding the situation.
The fans movement has no issues with acquiring shares from any party involved with Lufc, after all the acquisition of shares is our priority to get our club back.
In regards to the shares that Bates has referenced, the current knowledge is that the club is owned by Cellino's 75% stake in the club and GFH's 25% shared between backers. Which gives more need for the Leeds fans LLP to clarify this 11% which has been deemed "for sale".
The Leeds fans LLP would be happy to contact Ken to speak about the 11% stake that is available, if indeed this is the case. We are business people and this is a potential investment into the start of fan ownership in Leeds United.
If this is true, then the Leeds fans LLP could have a real chance in getting into the boardroom at LS11 and giving the fans what they deserve, their club back."
Many thanks to Sharon Reid for assisting in getting out the Leeds Fans LLP's view of the current situation.
