After images leaked last night of Pawel Cibicki being confirmed as a Leeds United player, they have now officially announced the deal. The Swedish forward joins the club on a four year deal from Malmo and is expected to join up with the squad as soon as available ahead of an action packed fixture list for the Whites. The 23 year old has cost the club around £1.5million meaning that his addition along with Kay Roy Grot's transfer earlier last week has only cost Leeds a fraction of the fee received for last seasons top scorer Chris Wood. Amazingly, Cibicki is now Leeds' 15th signing of the summer as they look to progress on their 7th place league finish last season.
Top additions Ezgjan Alioski and Samu Saiz have already made impressive impacts at the club and with Leeds already seeing the fruition of such deals, Cibicki could be another steal from the foreign leagues. With plenty of clubs courting Cibicki, Leeds may have pulled quite the coupe with his signing. Europe supremos Napoli, Ajax and Manchester United had previously been interested in the player. With Cibicki announced on deadline day, its highly expected that Pierre-Michael Lassoga will join the club on loan for the season. Leeds could still be active in the transfer market with central defenders being the next focus for the club. Who would you like Leeds to sign? Have your say in the comments below. By Ryan Ingham
