The recruitment drive conveyer belt continues at Elland Road, or more figuratively Thorp Arch.
Leeds have continued to add talented youth from both the English leagues and European football and their latest addition comes from closer to home. The Yorkshire side have recruited young York City forward Ryan Edmondson as they target local hotshots to bolster their youth ranks. The 16-year old joins Leeds on a two and a half year deal for an undisclosed fee and will link up with the Whites’ youth academy for the time being. Edmondson, made his debut for York in the National League North fixture against Brackley early on in the season and will surely be hungry for more first team experience. The youngster will now look to establish himself before pushing for a first team birth alongside young strikers Kun Temenuzhkov, Adrian Balboa and Jack Clarke. With Leeds signing youngsters from all over the globe, it’s nice to see the club give some focus to local talent and recognise a young English star. By Ryan Ingham

We must also look after our own. Now Clubs like Everton are said to be interested in youngster Mallik Wilks on loan at Accrington Stanley. Maybe time to call him back in January and send Jay-Roy out on loan in stead.
