As the crowd parted, there bloodied and gasping for air lay our saviour, our 'Redders' on the Thorpe Arch training room floor. The wound so large that most who saw it looked away in horror, delivered by an Italian hand and with his last breath he uttered the words "et tu Antenucci" and then he was gone. We will remember you the man who should have been King. He was a good man. Fiction yes but you couldn't make it up what is occurring in Leeds 11 at the moment.
The news on Friday evening that six Leeds United players had reportedly contacted the club to say they were unfit to travel to this Saturday's fixture with Charlton Athletic, the six were Silvestri, Del Fabro, Bellusci, Doukara, Antenucci and Cani. Two, Antenucci and Silvestri came on social media to explain their absence, Silvestri even showed the injury but I doubt if it would have kept Nigel Martyn out of a game!.
The murkier waters seem to be getting thicker at the club as the time when the Italian walks back through the doors fast approaches, there is something really rotten within the hallowed (to us anyway) walls. Player power or some spoiled brats seem to be splitting the dressing room. Maybe the removal of Matt Childs and Steve Thompson was the opportunity they needed to start the divide. I feel for the youngsters just starting on the road to our hearts, they must wonder what they've signed up for and maybe, just maybe they may see that it may be better to get away from the 'madness' that surrounds the club at the present time. I hope and pray they don't mind you.
I feel for Neil Redfearn, like McDermott before him has been given a very poor hand and it's incredible that we are not shifting uncomfortably in our seats as we worry about the last three games. Without doubt without the twenty seven points gained since the turn of the year, we would without doubt have been relegated into Division One. We are staying in the Championship because of the work of Redfearn and Thompson and the belief the players had in them. I doubt we would have stayed in if we would have relied on certain individual's.
The situation at Leeds needs the authority's to have a good look into because without doubt decisions have been made about the running of the club from Miami, Cellino has fragrantly broke the ban and only a fool will think he hasn't. It's been another occurrence in the farce that is the club I love and live for, but sometimes I really wonder why I do.
I leave you with this
As the Revie Stand, the East Stand, the West Stand and the South Stand rise to their feet as one and sang "Bastardi ! Il tuo non è adatta a indossare la maglia!".
I totally agree.
Love Leeds : Hate liars and cheats.
