Leeds United have taken young hotshot Conner Byrne on trial, in what could be a massive signing for the club.
Byrne, who is insanely only 14-years old made his first team debut for his local club Glenavon FC in their MID Ulster Cup fixture against Portadown only two weeks ago.
The surprising additional is said to be a highly rated Northern Irish talent and is sought after by a lot of clubs across the pond, including Premier League supremos Everton, Liverpool and Tottenham.
However, Leeds have been first to act on his recent stardom by taking the young stopper on trial as they look to secure his services early on.
A report from the express states that Leeds are putting their front foot forward and trying to steal a march on any interested side including that of pennine rivals Manchester United.
The current squad at Leeds could also make a massive difference in the chance to secure Byrne, with Northern Irish international Stuart Dallas already at the club along with the emerging talents of Conor Shaughnessy and Paudie O’Connor from the southern part of the island.
With Leeds boasting a high number of young goalkeeping talent including Will Huffer, Bailey Peacock-Farrell and former Feyenoord stopper Kamil Miazek all challenging for first team opportunities, Byrne could have a long journey ahead should he sign.
