On Wednesday the rumoured away kit was leaked with Ben White in it.
The grey and pink ‘effort’ from Kappa UK has been doing the rounds for at least a week or two, but now it seems, unfortunately it’s true.
Ben White seems less than impressed in the away kit.
Kappa have had a really good record with the strips they have produced up to this one, even the bus cover blue jersey sold in it's thousands as did the third more traditional yellow third kit produced after the blue one.
What I’m asking is WTF has grey and pink in a kit have anything to do with Leeds United? I know it’s only a shirt but this is our Centenary season and I kind of hoped for two strips that actually had the club’s colours in it. Leeds have been white since Don was manager and I suppose the home shirt at least has that and has sold out so the fans must like it.
Home and Keeper kits.
I’m hopefully not the only person who’s questioning what the owner is doing to the club, first it was the ludicrous badge that Angus Kinnear withdrew after 100k plus signed a petition demanded it be never been seen on a Leeds United jersey. He has followed that by selling off Clarke, Jansson and if rumours are true Bailey Peacock-Farrell will join Burnley for a less than impressive fee, around 30 million has come in from transfers out of the club.
Maybe Marcelo couldn’t give two f’s about what the team wear, but he will care that his options, squad wise are pretty limited in my opinion. He’s a man of principle and if the owner annoys him or gives back-word on promises that were made before agreeing another season at Elland Road he just might take his blue upside down bucket back to Argentina!
Let’s hope for the fans sake the club comes good on what they said to Bielsa, it would be disappointing to say the least if things behind the scenes are problematic with the season just about to start.
One club who did listen to their fans was Manchester City who unveiled an absolute beauty to commemorate their 125th anniversary and will wear it in the Charity Shield game at Wembley on Sunday against Liverpool.
City 125. How to get it so right.
Does what the team wear matter or couldn’t you care less? It will be interesting to hear your comments in the section provided.
