From here to nowhere

After a summer with the usual bombardment of names supposed to be signing on the dotted line, GFH delivered a statement to flatten even the most optimist Leeds
United fan.

It's been said no news is good news, but with rumours abounding on Wednesday and the players due back tomorrow, the vice chairman 'answered' a few questions from the 'fans' and it didn't make good reading. Yes we've brought in a young inexperienced centre forward and they've said others may follow, but when people mention low ambition and costs I'm afraid nothing in this bit of PR has made me run down Elland Road with my cheque book flapping in front me.

I'm as loyal as most fans but I say here and now 'ENOUGH IS ENOUGH' we are what we are - an average Championship team with players on long contracts and little ability, if last year was a example. If the club builds at a slow pace I see more teams like Norwich coming knocking when any youngster shows promise.

I love my club and it's fans but I think that a club without ambition is one that cannot ask it's fans to continue to dig into their pockets for. As I say my loyalty will always be in Leeds 11 but I'm not been taken for a mug anymore!

As long as Williams & Harvey remain we know Bates is in charge. Anybody that thinks different needs to think again

Adam have you been in your cornflake packet again, oh don't tell me your one of these know it alls who think you know all so you know who we are signing, we aren't getting hunt we can't afford him fact!!!! does it not state facts we can't afford a defender like mills for 1 mill when all the other clubs who realistically are pushing for promotion have money behind them and why would blackpool take norris he is crap he will be better off at a league one side and again with mills do we nearly need him its strikers that score and wingers with pace we need should cash in on mccormack and morrison while milwall want the latter esp seen as the pair did next to cock all last season mccormack has reverted back to his first season may as well sign bar door back up.

I want nothing more than to see my beloved football club back where they belong in the top flight! But anybody saying Enough is Enough are bordering on
Idiocy. Lets be brutally honest. We're lucky to still have a club to support (love him or hate him we have Ken bates to thank for that). I will always love and support my football club no matter what the owners say or do, no matter what players come and go and no matter what league we are in. Our day will come but like GFH Have said "it ain't gonna happen overnight"
Im sick to the back teeth of moaning whining "stay away" fans. How about you stay away permanently, us loyal fans don't want nor need you fickle fans upsetting us all the time. MOT

DIrtydom/Coleman - if you want to finance the good life for Bates good luck to you but don't knock people who can see what's going on at Elland Road and don't like it.

Cheers Coleman. Its nice to see somebody talking sense on here.
Do all the "stay away fans" not realise that a full ground every week would benefit the team just as much as a new signing, take for example the spurs game last season, Elland Road was full and the fans were on-song an we beat a top 5 premier league side. Those who stay away do more damage than they will ever realise MOT

dirtydom, I am one of those 'stay away fans' you refer to, and after supporting Leeds for well over 40 years I have put MORE than ENOUGH of my own money in to decide that until I KNOW my money will be invested into the team there won't be any more spent.

When the board SHOW their ambition with real acts and not their mouths then I'll be first back, mate!

The first thing they need do, though, is to ensure Bates is NOT president of this great club, he has done absolutely nothing to deserve that position whatsoever, and self-appointing himself to that position shows what a total mockery he has made of this once great club.

We are ALL proud of Leeds United but not, unfortunately, of Bates. Untill he is gone TOTALLY, the fans will never be truly UNITED!

Hi All
I'm back & loving every minute of the tennis as I thrash away off my back hand!! I just love a jug of pimms & strawberries to stuff my fat face with
at this time of the year don't you all?
Keep the faith with GFH because I know they will come good despite the constant negative sermons from dear old Stevie boy on 606 - he needs to lighten up & take his dog for a walk or play tennis against me although, be warned I am a semi-pro & despite being 17st am pretty nifty around the court.
Anyhow, first serve, foot fault & a overhead smash as JONTY wins yet again.......YEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHH !!!

See y'all very soon for more JONTY TIME folks you hear me now!!!

The fans need to join forces with Steve Parkin and fund a partial buyout of the club..... I honestly don't understand why a club the size of Leeds is struggling to find investors..,. If we don't sort it soon we will lose generations of fans and become a forgotten giant

Thanks to Bates, the club has no assets, has debts on the books and is running at a loss.

What you should be asking is why GFH invested in sweet FA.... supposedly. I've seen nothing in 7 months to say they aren't just a front for Bates.

Leeds4alongtime I am in exactly the same position and have exactly the same opinion as you and I have many mates who feel the same. I think we have earned our opinions after 40 odd years. Dirty Dom I hope you enjoy paying for Uncle Kens spending money coz that is exactly what you are doing

I did, at the 1968 Cup final and 1970 and 1972 and 1973 and Paris and through the dark days of the 80's home and away etc...etc.... All I am saying is, it is MY opinion that we are funding Ken Bates and I and many others are no longer prepared to do that. What you decide to do is completely your own decision and we are all entitled to our own individual opinions. I hate feeling like this as I got my first season ticket at 8 years old but I work hard for my money and will not be giving another penny until there is the prospect of getting something in return.
