On Wednesday, Leeds United completed the protracted signing of Noel Hunt from
Reading on a free transfer. Hunt, a thirty year old striker was with McDermott during the Leeds managers tenure there. He follows in a busy week which has seen Luke Murphy join from Crewe for a million with add ons. With Matt Smith brought in earlier there could be at least three new faces on view come Saturday afternoon when Leeds face their first competitive match against Farsley Celtic. With a mixture of youth and experience, the three brought in will hopefully convince a few more fans to commit hard cash in the form of season ticket sales. To further the managers ability to add to the squad as at least two unnamed players already are negotiating with the club. This doubter has seen enough to convince him to buy tickets for the Brighton and Chesterfield games, the future's got a better feeling than before and I'll back the team financially as much possible, I really trust Brian Mcdermott to build us a team to be proud of. Best start to transfer window since first season in CCC and we signed Schmichel Downhill after that when I saw Barn door Billy with a 9 shirt to replace Becks

Reading fan here, you've got yourself a great player and person in Hunty. Gives his all every game and I'm sure us not giving him the 2 year contract he wanted will bite us on the arse when we play you! Honestly all the best for the season too, hopefully we'll both finish in the top 6 this year. McDermott is an incredible manager at this level and if you do go up hopefully he's learnt not to stay too loyal to the squad that gets you up, that was our downfall last season.

Thanks for the information and the good wishes Duggles ... I'd be delighted if Leeds and Reading finished 1/2 at the end of the season and let the rest fight for the other slot.
