Leeds United have expressed a interest in moving away from Thorpe Arch, their present training ground. Leeds City Council will discuss plans on the 18th of October to build a training complex and Community sports complex on two sites near the Elland Road ground.
The former site of the Mathew Murray High School, which closed it's doors in 2006 is seen as the training ground for the first team and under 23 squads.

The Fullerton Park land across from Elland Road (the old training ground used in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s) is seen as a potential Community Sports village and the start of a Leeds United Foundation. The land for both sites are owned by Leeds City Council. Both parties hope to increase the links between club and the City.
Angus Kinnear said “We thank Leeds City Council for their consideration. We have an ambitious vision for Elland Road and the surrounding area as a centre for elite development and a thriving community sports hub.
Our partners at the local council fully understand the extent of the impact a successful Leeds United can have on our city and that any progress we make will be done so in consultation with the local community.”

Leeds United vs Reading Preview
Leeds will hope to get back to winning ways after back-to-back away defeats at Cardiff and Sheffield Wednesday. The early season ‘promise’ has hopefully gone temporarily and Reading will want to that prove their league position is only temporary, they sit twentieth in the Championship.
Thomas Christainsen gave under fire goalkeeper Felix Wiedwald a vote of confidence, so it looks like he will remain in goal for the game on Saturday.
Christiansen has only Caleb Ekuban absent through injury, so it has to be seen if he decides to change the team that fell away so badly after a promising first twenty minutes at Hillsborough. The defence that looked so solid previously has conceded eight goals in three games, so a improvement is definitely needed.
I would like to see two players up front, we’ve played with one this season and it seems that other teams have worked out how we play so maybe it’s time to ‘tweak’ for formation for this game, or at least have a plan b if things need changing during the game.
I can see a tight game but with Leeds grabbing the three points. Leeds 2-1.
So England qualified, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland are through to the Playoffs, whilst Scotland and Wales miss out in Russia 2018.
Back to proper football this weekend and hopefully Leeds will return to the beautiful butterfly of early season and not the maggot of the last two away games. Ups and Downs, Ups and Downs my friends.
