Leeds United have been dealt a huge blow as it was confirmed Luke Ayling will be out for the rest of the season.
The right back had gone down injured in Leeds’ New Years Day clash against Nottingham Forest and it has now come out that he will be sidelined for the remainder of Leeds’ season.
Ayling went under the knife yesterday to try and fix the damaged cartilage and will now begin his rehabilitation.
With the recent blow of Samu Saiz’s 6 game ban, Leeds are looking at a potential depth crisis and will have to work hard in January to solve it.
The latest signing of Lauren’s De Bock does give Leeds the opportunity to move Gaetano Berardi to his preferred right back position and with Vurnon Anita and Tyler Denton as back ups for the positions.
However, the best move could be to allow Lewie Coyle to return to the club and challenge Berardi for the starting spot.
Coyle does have a clause in his loan contract that would allow Leeds to recall him during this January transfer window.
Should Leeds bring Coyle back? Or should they even be looking into the market for a replacement for Ayling? Have your say in the comments below.
