Ahead of our Boxing Day clash with Blackburn Rovers Keith Ingham spike Danny Hardman about all things Blue and Whites. How long have you supported Blackburn Rovers? 27 years What’s your favourite moment as a Rovers fan. Season, game or anything other occasion. Obviously winning the Premier League was massive. But more recently winning the league cup in 2003 v Spurs was great as we were massive underdogs. Tell us about a player that you were proud to have on the back of a shirt, if you didn’t is there one you wished you would have.
Tugay. In my opinion the best footballer to ever wear a Rovers shirt, unreal talent. What’s your most memorable match playing Leeds? Recall beating you at your place 3-2 back in 2003. Always a decent occasion when you come to Ewood, guaranteed full away end and great atmosphere. Are you happy with your dealings in this summer’s transfer market? Yes and no. Mowbray doesn't like to panic buy/loan. He brought a couple of heads in but I think rovers fans would have liked to see a proven championship striker signed we need someone in Jan. What’s your realistic aim for the season? Mid-table finish is realistic. Playoffs is optimistic and in this league you never know. Mowbray has brought stability so a relegation scrap isn't a concern in my opinion. Who in your mind is going to be promoted this season? West Brom & Leeds automatic. Derby in playoffs Can you name your three for relegation this year? Bolton, Ipswich and Rotherham. Who’s your danger man? Bradley Dack Can you tell us about a rising star in the youth ranks? Lewis Travis. Centre midfielder who is versatile, he's made a few first team appearances and looks a really tidy player. Expected to go out on loan in January the experience would stand him well for next season I think. Prediction and scorers for the game? I'm going 1-1 Roofe and Graham with the goals. We’d like to thank Danny for his answers and wish him the best for the rest of the season. By Keith Ingham

We don’t care who you are, what team we are playing against. We will always go out to win.” The @FA have announced that there will be no FA Cup Replays from the 5th Round of this seasons competation, a season earlier than planned. Yet another ‘knife in the back’ of the once great competition. Newcastle United’s Karl Darlow is rumoured to be high on Leeds’ list of goalkeepers the club is looking at. The keeper is available for around four million pounds but Leeds are hopeful of arranging a loan for him. Darlow suffered an elbow injury late last month but is not looking at an extended absence. Leeds United have had more televised games this season than any other English club. 14 - Leeds 12 - manutd, Liverpool & Aston Villa 11 - Arsenal, Chelsea & Spurs Patrick Bamford returns to a familiar situation at Leeds United - the Roofe🔥 is on fire!! Thanks to the YEP TV strikes again!! The Football Supporters’ Federation have expressed their dismay after it was revealed that fewer than one third of FA Cup third-round matches will be played at 3pm on a Saturday due to television contracts. Only 10 of the 32 third-round fixtures will be played at the traditional time on January 5, with the FA’s new six-year £820m overseas television contract contributing to a raft of rearrangements. Of the other games, one will be played on Friday evening, seven will kick off at 12.30 on Saturday followed by five games kicking off Saturday evening at 17.30. There will be eight games on Sunday, including Leeds with afternoon kick offs and Wolves play Liverpool on Monday evening. FSF Chairman Malcom Clarke said: “The third round of the FA Cup on the first Saturday in January was always one of the great highlights of the season, and to have less than one third of the games kicking off at three o’clock on Saturday definitely to some extent diminishes the magic of the day.” Leeds are linked to Keiren Westwood and Karl Darlow as they look to get experienced cover for BPF when the January transfer window opens. A strong Leeds United under 23 side that included Lewis Baker, Jack Harrison, ‘Izzy’ Brown and Patrick Bamford beat Burnley 6-3 at The Barnfield Training Centre with Patrick Bamford scoring a hat trick. The other goals coming from Clarke, Baker and Brown. Ahead of today’s clash with Bolton Wanderers, Keith Ingham spoke to Trotters fan Chris Bowden.
How long have you supported Bolton Wanderers? 15 years What’s your favourite moment as a ‘Wanderers’ fan. Season, game or anything other occasion. Has to be escaping relegation on the final day of last season , epically with the come back to win forest 3-2 Tell us about a player that you were proud to have on the back of a shirt, if you didn’t is there one you wished you would have. In terms of the past season or two, we appear to have had some good characters around the squad but in my opinion no major role models like the Gary Cahill’s etc.. What’s your most memorable match playing Leeds? Not very memorable in the past few years , I don’t think we have got a win against you in our previous 8 games in all competitions. Our 4-1 win is the most memorable for me in 2004. Are you happy with your dealings in this summer’s transfer market? (It’s pretty obvious you won’t be!) Nope, poor quality players brought in and not many of them appear to be of Championship standard. Erhun Oztumer is the one everyone was looking forward to seeing but we’ve hardly seen any of him, also the failure to get a good left back like Robinson who we had last year is costing us! Paweł Olkowski our right back has been the small highlight of this summers transfers. What’s your realistic aim for the season? Staying up but one win in 17 isn’t great. Who in your mind is going to be promoted this season? Norwich, Leeds and Aston Villa Can you name your three for relegation this year? Ipswich , Rotherham and Bolton. – I hope I’m wrong, but the rut we are in appears to be even worse than last season. Who’s your danger man? Sammy Ameobi who will be suspended for Saturdays game unfortunately after being sent off vs Norwich. – Apart from him I struggle to name someone who stands out, Yanic Wildschut, Erhun Oztumer & Josh Magennis can be dangerous but all are out of form and not in favour. Can you tell us about a rising star in the youth ranks? Lots of attention towards Connor Hall, currently on-loan at Accrington Stanley. Apart from him there hasn’t been many near the first team lately. Prediction and scorers for the game? 2-1 Leeds, Roofe & Alioski We’d like to thank Chris for taking the time to answer our questions and hope that Bolton’s season can see an upturn very soon. By Keith Ingham Ahead of the anticipated release of Bielsa Rhapsody, Micky P Kerr spoke with our Keith Ingham about his support of Leeds United and how the song came to fruition.
I started to follow Leeds whilst I was at Primary school, my first season supporting Leeds was 91/92, it was a pretty good season for us that. Shame I was too young to appreciate it properly cause it probably won’t happen again in my lifetime! One game that stands out is 1-0 win over Liverpool, Yeboahs volley, was sat in the East stand, incredible. There have been so many moments and games over the years though, it’s my team. I was there for a lot of games in league 1 too, I was also there in the champions league. I started a podcast about football chants (although it’s not REALLY about footy chants if I’m honest, it’s just 5 lads talking footy and being daft) as me n me pals like to make up our own. I remember being in bed one morning and Bielsa Rhapsody came to me, I’d thought of the title initially and then I just lay there as my weird brain did the rest. Then I printed the words out and gave em to the lads. Pawel Cibicki, who returned from his loan spell at Norwegian club Molde is expected to move permanently in January, at least one MLS has expressed an interest in the striker. It was expected that he would be given an opportunity to impress Marcelo Bielsa after scoring three goals in thirteen appearances for the Norwegian side managed by Ole Gunnar Solksjaer. It now seems to be that Leeds are keen to move the striker on as he has still eighteen months on his contract to go. Leeds drawn away to QPR in the 3rd round of the FA Cup. Tuesday 4/12 Marcelo Bielsa on Aapo Halme: “He had a balanced game and was not impressed by the importance of the game. Regarding the use of the ball, he had the same inconvenience as the other players of the line of three”. “We took this game as a possibility to compare it with the game against West Bromwich (Albion)and we had special interest in not making a mistake." Working with Lufc, the Leeds United Supporters Trust are asking fans to donate what they can to support two of Leeds’ biggest food banks. The drive will take place tomorrow Saturday 8th December and will be held outside the East Stand prior to the game. Last year the two food banks had provided food for a total of 18,563 people, which also included 6,901 children. The Leeds United Supporters Trust has given this list of items; Dilute Juice Tins of fish/tomatoes/potatoes/veg Mash/Smash Custard Rice Pudding Cereal Pasta Sauce Long life fruit juice Coffee Toiletries Supporters can also pledge cash donations if they can’t make the game online here: https://bit.ly/2DZSSzw. However, any support that can be done for Saturday would not only be appreciated by the club and the Trust, but also families who really need it this year.
