![]() By Martin 'Badger' Chadwick Leeds ladies FC returned to action last Sunday in a quarter final county cup clash against Ossett Albion FC. ![]() By Andrew Butterwick The temperature was raw and unwelcoming as the Happy Chocker, Quiet One and yours truly headed for Elland Road for Leeds latest game against Eddie Howe's championship leaders. After all the off the field carnage and uncertainty it was good to focus on a football match rather than a courtroom and the latest efforts of the Football League to support one of their long standing members. ![]() By Andrew Butterwick Even by Leeds United's standards this week has been "eventful" The annual ritual sacrifice of the club captain went through with Warnock departing to the East Midlands to bolster Derby's promotion challenge whilst Mr Redfearn was telling anybody who would listen that he needed an input of players with championship experience to bolster our relegation fight. On that day in May when Bob Stokoe, trilby, trench coat and red tracksuit running towards his goalkeeper Jim Montgomery who had single handily stopped Leeds United from winning the cup. This was the game that wrote the Wearsiders into football lore and for the first time broke the heart of a thirteen year old boy. |
