Leeds suffered another defeat on a Tuesday night making it only three wins out of twenty plus games played, but it could have been so different after Becchio had given Leeds the lead from a disputed penalty and Austin had two goal bound efforts saved by the Hull keeper.
In fact the first fifteen minutes it was all one way traffic but after a mix up in the defence with Tonge and White getting in each others way, Ahmed Elmohamady slotted past Kenny. Then six minutes later, Faye got goal side of Lees to give Hull the lead, it was 2-1 at the break.
The visitors seemed to settle for what they had, while with Leeds the effort was there, the final ball was just not right. Incredibly from a Leeds corner Hull broke and Koren finished well at the back post.
Luciano Becchio gave Neil Warnock another worry when he went down holding his ankle and was eventually subbed with Dominic Poleon coming on and he had a fantastic run only to shoot wide. Andy Gray replaced the ineffective Varney (please drop him again Neil) and he scored from a cross with minutes to go but it was too late to salvage a point.
Maybe Leeds should ask a witch to visit the ground as Don Revie did in the past to try and remove this 'monkey off our backs'. One thing certain is Leeds do not seem to enjoy playing on this day and maybe should choose another day to play their midweek games, well it couldn't get any worse could it ?
