A return to the frontline?

A lot was said after the weekends game. I've already mentioned that the manager
seems to be feeling the pressure a little in an earlier blog. The next up is the case for restoring a striker back to where I feel he should be playing.

Ross McCormack is a great professional and a Scottish international and has not made a negative comment about his switch this season, he gets on with the job in hand and he has weighed in with a few crucial goals already this season. My thought though is two seasons ago the same player scored 19 times from his more natural position and with goals seemingly hard to come by it makes sense to
play him there.

Noel Hunt, Dominic Poleon, Luke Varney, Matt Smith and El Hadji Diouf have so far occupied the front two striking positions with various results, but none have done enough in my opinion to warrant the omission of McCormack. He is a natural goalscorer and well thought of enough for other clubs to come calling with money offers earlier in the season.

I've mentioned my support of our honest manager and all I ask is to think of his options and give Ross at least a chance to prove that he is the man to lead the attack because, again in my opinion he is the best person in the squad to do this. If I'm wrong I'll be the first to admit it.

In Ross we trust !

Agreed Keith ... and like you I'm 100% behind BMcD and believe he's the best signing the club have made in a long time.

However, I do have a couple of questions ...
1 ... why have your most gifted goalscorer playing in midfield where his undoubted talent is wasted in searching for creativity and the team are struggling to score goals?
2 ... why play Luke Murphy on the left side of midfield when his alleged best position is being occupied by ... Ross McCormack?

The attack looks toothless despite the hard work and efforts of Noel Hunt and Luke Varney, who should be in double figures by now when his number of chances are considered and surely a partnership of Matt Smith and Ross McCormack would provide a more potent option ... both players know how to score goals.
