Leeds United gave their preseason a big jump by finally announcing their 16/17 home shirt at an event last night.
Due to no away shirt being unveiled it may be that this season's shirt will not only be worn at home but also away when permitted.
As a formality, it's always last season's away kit that becomes the 'third' kit and £20 in the club shop. The club haven't really been clear on what's going on yet.
Overall the kit is nice, it's had negative and positive reviews but this fan enjoys the simplicity of the design and we might as well get the gold in now before we actually pick up this season's silverware!
I might not be this best model on the earth, but it's always best to see how the shirt looks on a human and not a genetic experiment with polystyrene for skin.
It's been welcomed and bought in numerous amounts since it was introduced to the season tickets holders on Thursday.
I like it and it has one thing that is so important, it's mainly white just like Don Revie introduced in the 1960's, yes it has a change of badge; a gold outlay with KAPPA insignia in gold down the sides.
Three season's the firm has produced really good kits, all distinct in their own way so they deserve it!
It does remind me of the shirt worn when we gained promotion in 2010 from Division One, made by Macron but the material is far better than uncle ken's favourite sportswear firm.
Further back in history there's also the shirt when Leeds wore an all white shirt in the forgettable 1996 League Cup Final defeat to Aston Villa.
Even further back one of the best shirts ever was worn by Leeds in the Champions League outings of 2000/01 season. This superb shirt remains one of the fans favourite ever shirts.
You can't please all the people all the time but I'm pretty pleased with what Leeds United FC will wear in the forthcoming season. It could have been a lot worse, remember the 'cigarette packet' Macron design!
